Managing Contacts

Contacts are the investors and advisors who receive your updates.

Adding Contacts

Add contacts from Settings > Contacts or directly in the send step of the update wizard.

For each contact, provide:

  • Name — The contact's full name.
  • Email — Where updates will be delivered.
  • Firm (optional) — Their VC firm or company name.

Quick-Add During Send

When you're ready to send an update, you can add contacts inline without leaving the wizard. Click Add Contact in the recipient list, fill in the details, and they'll be immediately available for selection.

Selecting Recipients

In the send step, all contacts are selected by default. Use the checkboxes to include or exclude individual contacts. Select All and None links let you quickly toggle the entire list.

Managing Your Contact List

Go to Settings > Contacts to:

  • View all contacts in a searchable list.
  • Edit contact details (name, email, firm).
  • Delete contacts you no longer need.

Best Practices

  • Keep your contact list current — remove investors who've exited or are no longer relevant.
  • Add a firm name so you can quickly identify who's who in your list.
  • Most founders send to 5–20 contacts. The free plan supports up to 5; upgrade to Pro for unlimited.
